BB v CC 2018 EWFC B78

The mother had moved a child unilaterally to the North of England from London. This judgement is an appeal upholding a decision to return the child to London to the father. The judgement addresses possible responses to unilateral relocation.

The mother had made a number of allegations which were all rejected by the courts. The courts also describe the mother showing no insight in cutting off the paternal family. Judgment is also critical of CAFCASS for saying no concerns of the mother and not exploring all the options for contact.

The case refers to A v A (2004) FLR 1195 and Re A (Residence Order) (2010) FLR 1083.
